Insulated Air Conditioning Duct

Spiral lockseam ductwork is available in both round and oval design and can also be internally insulated for air conditioning applications through the use of a twin skin of ductwork sandwiching semi rigid insulation between the two dimensions of duct. The internal duct is made from a perforated galvabond material to allow both sound absorption and thermal insulation for supply air systems especially warranted in the tropical climate of North Queensland.

The use of hidden internal duct hangers makes spiral duct an ideal architectural feature for exposed air conditioning systems in supermarkets, shopping centres, libraries, financial institutions and all commercial offices. Alternately spiral duct can be externally wrapped with insulation for hidden supply air systems usually in above ceiling space and is most appropriate and cost effective compared to rectangle duct where long straight runs of duct are required.
